2014 Conference for Micro Small and Medium Entrepreneurs

For Micro Entrepreneurs or even the wanna be Entrepreneurs, being equipped with tools and learning to their choosen  line of bussiness is the main and basic needs for them to go on.  However, it would be hard for them if no one can guide them.

I suggest, specially for those new entrepreneurs, join any business organization in your area first.  Attend seminars and workshops that would help you know more about running a business specially on its documentation and government related concerns.

In Cavite, one of the organization you may turn to is PCLEDO (Provincial Cooperative, Livelihood and Entrepreneurial Development Office).

This coming July 24th, 2014, a Business Conference will be held which aims to enhance the competitiveness of the Micro Small and Medium Entrepreneurs (MSMEs).  Maybe you should grab this opportunity to learn and know more from other co-entrepreneurs who will be attending the said Conference.

To know more of this Conference, you may visit their office at the CACODEC, Trece Martirez City Cavite or call  (046) 419 1273 / 419 0521

Pa Bazaar ni Juan at La Salle, Dasmariñas Cavite

A meeting was called last June 13, 2011 at PCLEDO and am not aware at all.
Only God knows why :)

Inspite of my absence on the said meeting I was still able to join this Bazaar.
Thanks to you guys.  Thanks for the alert.

And thanks to Jane also for letting me share her tent.
Jane is the owner of Doña Juana Food Product, who sell Talaba Chips, an OTOP certified (One Town One Product) from Ternate Cavite.

We haven't took much on photos, only this:
 Ang Tropang Makukulit :) :) :)

Waahhhh.... my chocolates specially the Choco pops had melted.
Thanks to Louie of Gen Tri, he let me keep my chocolates cold in his Cooler so my clients can enjoy Tsoko Moli chocolates.

And 'though it's too hot, we had fun. Specially with these guys.

May 12, 2011 Cavite MSMEs Entrepreneurial Trip

PCLEDO together with Likhang Kabitenyo Foundation facilitated 2011 Entrepreneurial Trip for MSMEs of Cavite.
First drop was at the Farm Tech

Mr Fabian started with an orientation on the history of Farmtech, how they've started.  And after, we were able to see the processing plant and their equipments.

Afterwhich, a plaque of appreciation were given to him by PCLEDO & LKF representatives.
While on our way out, this little plant caught my attention along the aisle. Nothing relevant to the tour though :)

Next stop was the Ilog Maria Honey Bee Farm.
And the IFEX at SMX, (International Food Exhibition).

One thing that caught my attention was these eyes catching glass bottles.:
They are all-natural coco nectar vinegar that comes in different variants such as:
  • Classic Vinegar
  • Virgin Vinegar
  • Vinegar with Garlic
  • Vinegar with Chilli & Ginger
  • Vinegar with wild Honey
Manufactured by Sorsogon Foods Enterprises, certified organic specialty vinegars.
Telephone #  :  (632) 930.98.59
It comes in 750ml and 350ml glass bottles
Ms. Linda, the owner and at the same time the General Manager let me taste the one with wild honey together with the salad and I like the sweet taste of honey on the vinegar.

And for Packaging related:

Packaging Technology Division - ITDI - DOST
Tel:  (632) 837.20.71 local 2271

They have Package Development inclusive of Shelf-life Testing and Label Design

I had fun and since this was my 1st study joined as an enterpreneur.
Hope one day, I can see myself joining such big Exhibit as well.

1st Exhibit at Waltermart, Dasmarinñas

This was our first Exhibit we join under PCLEDO, exhibit of Cavite Products.
As a newbie in the group, I may say, we are so lucky to be able to join.

We were assigned to showcase our product started last April 29th 2011 until May 4the 2011.
Not much on sale, but for the experience, it was memorable since it was the 1st showcase of my products.

On our 1st day, we only have few products, the box of 12 and Colored Choco Lollies.
Co-exhibitor were so helpful in giving us tips like packaging, marketing & pricing.

On our 2nd day, we added few variants and smaller packaging.
And the most unforgetable thing was, we were able to meet different people.

I even join one of the newest group based on Dasmariñas, the Cavite Micro-entrepreneur Association, or CMA headed by Mr. Rene.

1st Seminar with PCLEDO

PCLEDO again amazed me on how they help Cavite residents, not only in giving livelihood seminar but also on things that would help people to be entrepreneur thru livelihood programs.

This time, Entrepreneurial Division headed by Ms. Liza Gabatan, held the "Productivity Seminar and Housekeeping"
It was a whole day seminar at the CACODEC, Trece Martires, and I enjoyed every topic.  Resource Speakers were Mr. Pedro Noel Albert Jr, II R. Millares & Ms. Jenny Gavin Racca, both from DTI Makati.

DOST programs and services were also brought up by Engr. Raul Castañeda, the Provincial Director of DOST Cavite.

DTI Cavite staff also attended the said seminar.

Lots of learnings, lots of discovery.

Well done PCLEDO!

PCLEDO support

This Valentine's season as I said was a HIT.  A HIT because I was able to sell enough chocolates and am happy because I was able to make beautiful chocolates as Valentine gifts.

And to show gratitude from people who facilitated the livelihood seminar I attended before I started doing chocolates, I brought some of my products to give.

I also brought some samples for the Entrep team for them to give feedback and comments about the chocolates I made to help me improve and for more Product Development and enhancement.

As I enter the PCLEDO office, 2 ladies were in a big smile and you can feel the hospitality in them.  I ask for Ms. Sheryl and they were kind enough to call her for me.

There I meet her again for the 2nd time.
She was so accommodating and ask me what she can do for me.  As I give her my presents, I was glad to see that she was happy with how I presented my Chocolates.  She even introduce me to her Superior and even colleagues.

She wanted to take a short video interview on how I started in making chocolates but I resisted, not because I do not want to as it will help me promote my product, it's because I felt that am not ready yet to do it.

Instead, she took a shots of the items I brought and she suppose to let me talk to the one in-charge for designs and labeling to help me, unfortunately, she was on leave by then.

The feeling was so different when she was asking me few thing about bringing out my products to the market, the labeling and other things about product development. I felt scared. Scared because I felt that "this is it".  This would be a start of doing business formally.  I felt scared but I think, the feelin is more on excitement.

I never though that there 's still an institution that would help people to start a business.  By starting from livelihood program, to product development, and extensive monitoring, for beginner live would definitely be encourage to start.

Choco Prep Day3: to make my chocolate candies

I was so excited to do my very first chocolate candies.  I prepared my materials at around 7am, Ice chest, trays, weighing scale  etc.

I was able to start the doing the actual chocolate molding at around 2:30 pm.

I started with the plain white chocolates.  I do not know what have I done wrong, my chocolates got wet and with moist after few minutes taken out from the fridge.

I also did cookies and cream, brown chocolates, chocolate crunch, nutty chocolates & rocky road.
Thanks to PCLEDO for the training and to Sir Eric Jacob of Candilicious.  I was able to do these:

And for the finish product?  Here they are:

Now, I need to do the costing of each to know how much should I charge per box which would depend on how many pieces per box.

And for the next step, delivery of samples to prospect buyers and customers.
Other sets would be given as my Christmas gifts to friends.
Hope they gonna like it.
